Junction Rd, Bath
A collaboration between neighbours to extend along the parti wall. Complex structural works enabled an open plan large kitchen and dining areas to be created in both houses. Larch cladding was used in both properties and new Bath stone.
Client Testimonial"We decided to develop our house instead of move since we enjoy our location and community. The design was for a 'side return extension' to our terraced period house to have a better insulated and designed ground floor, plus a garden studio for arts and crafts. This was a complex project in which we collaborated with our immediate neighbours to mutually maximise our potential.
Blok Design & Construction has impressed us with their dedication to the task and consistency across many different skill areas and stages. We were awed by their sheer hard work, through extremes of weather, difficult access issues, and often constricted space to work.
They contributed significantly to the decision making of the project at various stages, in collaboration with the architect, showing how thoughtful and interested they were in the design process. They came up with alternative creative solutions to unexpected problems from their obvious experience and always had an intelligent approach to their work.
We are really pleased with the quality, finish and detail of our re-vamped home and studio, and would be happy to recommend Blok to others."
